Through flashbacks set prior to the beginning of the series, a woman wearing a sheep mask (later revealed to be a Leda clone known as M.K.) witnesses two paramedics, Frank and Roxie, burying a man in the forest. The woman calls Beth Childs. Beth and Art visit the crime scene and discover the dead man's cheek chopped out and was a follower of Neolution.
