Hot FAQs

Q1: Which is more splendid the book of game of thrones and the TV game of thrones? I wonder which one should I start first.

A1: Different people have different ideas on the book and the Game of Thrones DVD. I think both of them have its features and are worthy of enjoy and I enjoyed the both. From the book, you will know the great storyline of the story but from the DVD, you will see the great performance for the actors and the actresses. They are great. If you have time, you should watch both, I think.

Q2: How many episodes till Game of Thrones DVD becomes good?
I am trying to sit through Game of Thrones. I am really trying here but how many episodes am I going to have to watch till it really gets good, and lives up to the hype I heard about it.

A2: Hi. The Game of Thrones DVD is really nice for watching. Perhaps there would be one episode that makes you bored, but it is really good. When Tyrion Lannister  starts to have a bigger part it's good, and when Viserys Targaryen's story line turns to give more time to his sister, that's also good. I remember everything being good after the point where somebody gets pushed out of a window, which I remember as being in the first handful of episodes.

Q3: What books are there in the series and what seasons do they correspond to.
I watched the TV show Game of Thrones DVD and I heard that this show is based on the book with the same name! So I just want to know what books there are in the series and what seasons do they correspond to. Do anyone know that?

A3: So far five books have been published in A Song of Ice and Fire with a planned two more yet to be published. They are, in order:

1)A Game of Thrones 2)A Clash of Kings 3)A Storm of Swords 4)A Feast for Crows 5)A Dance With Dragons.

Two sample chapters for the sixth book, The Winds of Winter, have been released online.

"A Game of Thrones" and "A Clash of Kings" cover the first two seasons of the show respectively. The third season of the show is based on "A Storm of Swords" although the producers have indicated that some of the third novel will end up being covered in the fourth season.

Q4: Does anyone know the differences between the TV show Game of Thrones and the books?
I know the TV show Game of Thrones is based on the books named A Game of Thrones series. I have watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones DVD and now I am on the third season. But I haven’t watched the books. Does anyone know the differences between the TV show Game of Thrones and the books?

A4: I watched the books of the show and I think there are some differences betweent thess two. The show adds a few years between Robert's Rebellion and the main storyline and ages all the child characters accordingly. The show adds several sex scenes, often as cover for exposition, and invents the character of Ros, the prostitute who sleeps with a number of characters. Theon's sister, Asha in the novels, is renamed Yara, presumably to avoid confusion with the Wildling woman Osha. These are the differences I noticed between the show Game of Thrones DVD and the books!

Q5: Who is your favorite character in the Tv series Game of Thrones?
Game of Thrones DVD can be one of the hottest TV series now! If you have not watched the show, you may be out of fashion now! As one of the fantasy drama, it has won a great number fans. Now the show comes to the third season! The characters are so good and I love them so much! So I just want to know which one is your favorite?

A5: Yes, Game of Thrones DVD is a good tv series for watching and I am now on the third season now! There are a lot of characters that I love so much. But if I should pick one of them, I will say Theon Greyjoy is my favorite character because I thought the character is so great. There are a lot of things he should bear. That is not easy for a man. So great he is!

Q6: Game of thrones more a male or female show?
I love the tv series Game of Thrones DVD and I think the show is really a good tv series for watching! I just wanna know if more females or males watch the show or does it just even out to about the same? By the way, I’m a male.

A6: Actually, I think the show Game of Thrones DVD is referred to as pretty feminist because after watching the show, I found some of the strongest characters are in fact female: Arya, Danerys, Melisandre, Cersei, Brienne and Ygritte and the strong men happen to die. So I think this show is referred to as pretty feminist. However, a good show is loved by so many people! Game of Throens should be the one!

Q7: Is Game of Thrones as good as everyone says?
Actually, I don’t likve watching the TV series but everyone around told me that I should watch the TV series Game of Thrones DVD and how good the show is! So I just wanna have a try. I wonder whether it is really worth watching or not?

A7: I promise that you will never regret watching the show because the show is so excellent! I have finished the frist two seasons on Game of Thrones DVD. I'm a quite pretentious TV viewer, so coming from a guy like me that "Game of Thrones" is the best TV series of all time is quite something. These guys making the show are going far and beyond what is expected of them and they deliver a product better than expected.
